We haven't really used this blog much since we started it as part of our wedding invitation almost three years ago. The general trend seems to be that couples start blogs either when they are having a baby, or when they are going to the mission field. We're the second one!
Lord-willing, we are hoping to move to the Philippines sometime in 2010 to help with the Master's Academy - Philippines. This is a ministry that seeks to train and equip pastors and church workers to build up the Body of Christ in the Philippines.
We actually got to go on a "trial run" this past January when we went with a small team to teach a week-long seminar in Cebu on Basic Bible Interpretation. That was a very encouraging trip, which pretty much cemented our desire to go to the Philippines and serve there long-term.
I'll try to write more about that trip later this week.
This week also happens to be Grace Church's annual Shepherd's Conference!
